Hello.
I´ve sent my new member introduction message several minutes ago.
Now I´m trying to show some images of my 1917 BSA Cº Sht LE III*.
First some of the original condition when I got it (with a 1917 RE P14). I got both of them in my last duty trip in Afghanistan.
The SMLE was damaged on rear handguard that had to be changed, had russian stitched sling. The whole safety assembly was also missing. there were also some damaged screws.
The P14 condition was worse. At first view the complete stock was damaged but it has all original stuff (regimental brass disc, volley sight, lower and upper band). Also had an afghan hand made upper swiwel and the sling was slightly "etnic". But when I dissasembled the stock I could see that also was a "typical afghan hand made" stock. All the metalic pieces where Remington original mfg. The stock was fixed by a green plastic band.
