Finally managed to take some pictures of the Remington Model 1903...
So I finally managed to take some pictures of the Remington Model 1903 that I posted about a few weeks ago. Here's the link to the original post: Question about stamped parts on Remington Model 1903
It cleaned up very nicely. The stock and metal are very nice overall. The stock has very nice cartouches, including flaming bombs on the tip and below the rear sling swivel. Bore is excellent and this one should be a fun one to shoot. I added a sling and sight cover, but everything else seems to be original.
Anyway, let's see if I can post some pictures...

And here are some of my Smith Corona Model 1903A3. Any thoughts or opinions are appreciated on both of these.

Congratulations!
You have a splendid Remington rifle. The only thing I see wrong with it is that it's not in my collection!
Thanks for taking the time to make and share photos!

p.s.,
I would be very grateful if you would make and post a closeup photo of the bolt face in your Remington.

I will certainly take a picture of the bolt face for you...I"ll try to get a picture up on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Does the Smith Corona appear to be correct? It appears to have all SC parts, but I am unsure if the finish on the triggerguard is correct.

Your Smith-Corona rifle appears to be correct and original. The only thing I see unusual about it is the cocking piece. Cocking pieces in that serial range were parkerized, not blued. But, it wouldn't be the first time that Smith-Corona dug in a parts bin and installed an earlier part on a much later rifle. Or the second. Or the third. Or the...
Thanks for the pictures!

Very nice ! Thanks for sharing. Your Remington looks very similar to mine in the same ser.# range / bbl.date that has the same stamped parts mentioned in the earlier posting though yours has a nicer stock. The markings are not as sharp on mine and I don't remember it having any "flaming bomb" stamps.
Thanks again,
Emri
