30 Round Magazines

I bought several M1 Carbine 30 Round Mags. I bought a couple of New Looking SEY marked Hardbacks and some SEY & AYP marked Splitbacks and a couple of Unmarked ones. One of the Mags turned a goldish Color. This is not Paint. I put a small light scratch and you can see metal. I don't know too much about them and wonder if someone has seen this type of magazine before. Thank You

Here are more that look like the color is Plum looking. It's doesn't show much in the Pictures, but really does if you were to see them up close. How does bluing become a plum color and what could be the value of them. Thank You
