Depends on the condition. Going rate these days is $300-$350 for one in pretty decent condition. If it's a Mitchells, I expect they want somewhere in the neighborhood of $500 for it. Not worth that by any means. No matter what they do to it, it's still a 24/47.
I found a mitchell's for $349 but didn't want jump on it unless it was a good deal
The question needs to be asked do you know the reputation Mitchell's has in the collecting community?
No I don't

Fairly new to surplus rifle collecting
Mitchells has a terrible reputation in the collecting community because they try to pass off rifles for what they are not. They have been accused of renumbering rifles to make them all matching. Putting stamps on them to make them a rarer variety, refinishing and restocking rifles and so on and so forth. Most recently as the K98's have all dried up, they have sold Yugo
M48's as K98's. Primarily the reason I asked you what kind of price they were asking. Mitchell's tends to want $500+ for all their rifles and they are not worth that in most instances.
At $349 it is a realistic price but it depends on the condition. An M24/47 should be in pretty good condition for that price, not excellent by any means but clean, complete, nice looking. If it is, the price is probably OK despite being a Mitchells. I have a Mitchells M48 in brand new condition, but then many of these are and this is not uncommon. Mitchells did nothing to it other than import it so I don't have an issue with it plus I paid $250 for it when the going rate was $300. Didn't buy it from Mitchells obviously, they were selling them for $500 at the time.
Some guys won't buy a Mitchells under any circumstances just because of the reputation. I would never buy from them but I'm not afraid of their rifles, I treat them like any other rifle of the same type and base valuation off that.
OP. Here you go and they are in NC

If you want to learn about restoring rifles, Mike here on these forums probably still has some 24/47's that were semi-sporterized. He might be willing to ship you one if you have an FFL dealer to work with. Not sure what he has left but I'm thinking he was selling them for under $200.
Here's the link to the one I rebuilt: https://www.milsurps.com/showthread.php?t=57614
All it needed was the stock and metal stock bits. I got a complete stock with metal for $35. You need to apply some elbow grease to clean the rust and grease off them but it's a good inexpensive piece to work with.
Mike goes by mmppres, send him a message.
swalker0806, have you ever tried googling Mitchell's Mausers?
I checked Mitchell's on Gunbroker last evening and prices are all over the place. Guys trying to sell them for as much as $800 with no bidders of course. At the other end, very spirited bidding but price remained under $300. It seems most people don't buy the spin. The rifles are what they are, Mitchell's can't really improve on that.
