Needed a wake up call on hygiene most certainly across the world. Think the last time you were in a male public toilet at motorway services and the amount of lads that didn't wash their hands afterwards, even after leaving cubicles, and went on to eat food...................

Covid isn't going to be cured by a vaccine. At best, it's going to require an annual shot and they hope they get the correct strain, at worst, nothing is going to change and this becomes the new norm, it eliminates a lot of people over a few years and then resistance is built up until it mutates again. Just the nature of the beast. This is a variation of the common cold more than anything else and they never came up with a good treatment for that.

All I'm hearing from the media is how wonderful this vaccine is but it really isn't. Doesn't prevent you from getting it, carrying it or spreading it

I'm only aware of three, not sure where you are getting your numbers. There are various strains of Covid, at least 7 of which affect humans and many more that affect animals but Covid 19 only has three known strains and one was just recognized last week. It is slow to mutate which is a good thing.

We are currently experiencing what could potentially be our biggest snow storm in several years.

This is our Governor Wolf. He is not well liked these days by a substantial portion of the population. He did not really say this but people are getting tired of the things he is saying.

Our Governor put the state on a partial lockdown and then apparently left for Florida. No one knows where he is for sure but he's apparently at his Florida home for the holidays. Florida of course is a Republican run state that does not have lockdowns. So he went to enjoy himself where he isn't going to be regulated.

Needless to say, people here are FURIOUS. Lawyers are jumping all over themselves to tell every business to ignore the current mandate. An Italianicon restaurant that defeated the Governor in court is also telling everyone to ignore him. Hundreds are but these hundreds are all being visited by polite people just doing their jobs and putting closed notices on all the front doors after explaining why they are doing it and being told they will just remove it once they leave. It's going trough the motions. Sheriffs and DA's in most counties are refusing to enforce or prosecute. A few counties however are. Not hard to figure out which party the DA belongs to in those counties. All those people have to do is drive to the next county if they want to eat out, they are in the minority.

I personally don't have a huge desire to eat out. Rarely did before. We ate at Hoss's twice during the pandemic. I don't think we ate out anywhere else this entire time. Picked a lot of food up and took it home but that isn't dine in. I do miss my all you can eat Chinese Buffet.

People are moving closer and closer to stringing some people up I'm afraid. The governor, the health secretary, the taddle tail neighbors, who will it be. All have been nominated. I've seen a few posts on social media that should have the police investigating. People are really on edge too. In a normal year, the taking of a shoveled out parking space was bad news, this year, it involves a conspiracy of talk and planning on what's going to happen if they don't move in half an hour. Neighbor went on a rant and was pounding on everyone's doors up and down the street the other day.

I certainly don't know how much longer I can last without being able to stuff my gut full of General Tso's till I waddle out with a severe condition of the meat sweats.
Seriously though...when there every be any "teeth" in our system? elected officials violate federal and state constitutions and law, or their own edicts all the time, and face no consequences. I want to see all the state's attorneys, Secretaries of State, or governors who usurped voting regulatory authority away from the legislatures prosecuted and put behind bars. Same for all the governors, mayors, or council people eating out and getting haircuts then throwing normal folk in jail, closing businesses, or fining us into bankruptcy for doing the same. Where are all the BLM equal justice bandwagons at in calling for the same equal justice for all this nonsense?
Even more seriously though, I think I'm gonna fire up my smoker for Christmas. It's been too long since I had a good case of the meat sweats.

Seems I seen more W's involved than B's in that 'Movement'

Shut down the Churches and get out of Dodge. What a surprise. I'll assume he and family already got their Covid vaccine shots before they boarded the private jet.

Our Gov Hitmer has all the Santa's under rule so that they push her Covid propaganda to the kids. I've seen film of parents hastily removing their children when they realize the store front Santa's are quoting Gov Hitmers manifesto.

In 2021 this state and likely this country will see many making a stand, people have been pushed much too far. Many have lost everything and any last remnants of trust in our elections or government. Of course you'll also see the Sheep continue to hide, too afraid to speak out. They find it easier to keep the shades drawn shut, doors locked and to follow.
Speaking seriously, There are 'Groups here' ready to act. Many different levels, some wannabe's and some with the skills that could succeed. The types that would make McVeigh look like a punk. We are on the cusp.

We're shut down. Again. And again, the situation is tragic but not serious...
Tomorrow, and until Sunday, we'll be in a red country (also medically speaking. We're already in one politically), then we'll have the three days before the end of the year in orange. Then again one red week.
We can't leave the boundaries of our community, unless it is smaller than... I'm not paying attention... I guess 5000 people? If it is smaller, then we can go into neighbouring towns.
    But only once a day!
Families can go see relatives, but two people at a time, unless you have kids under 14. They can come.
    But again, once a day.
    What else?
    I don't know, really...
Can I walk in my town? Not sure.
Curfiew 22-05 confirmed, but maybe on the holy days it will be stricter.
We can't fire any fire crackers or other stuff (which I don't do anyway), but I can't understand what that has to do with Covid.
I can go buy groceries, but not ammo...

Bah, I'll do as usual and see.
I won't comply, but keep my safety rules, which I have been following for almost 9 months now.

Yesterday, since I was accepted as Range Officer in my local gun range, I made a special shooting day with a couple others who taught me all the details of the minute management of the range. It was officially closed, but we shot a fair amount of ammo.
I took out my two S&W revolvers and did well enough to be happy.
Last range day until... hopefully just after the 7th of January.
To be covered during these days, I bought a kit for shooting my .38/.357 revolvers at home.
Very nice thing. Solid brass cases, very light and well made plastic bullets (12 grs.), reusable. Takes large primers. You can use any of those. I read that they are best with LRM primers, but my friends at the gun shop told me they tried it with normal Large Pistol primers and that was perfectly ok too.
I'll try and forget about the setting democracy and live as happy as possible, until the end of this crappy period.

On the bright side of all of this, I never had so much time with my family since I left the Army 26 years ago. That was really GREAT!
But not enough to make me accept being a subject.
