    That's what fooled me Aragorn. Not that I paid too much attention to it but couldn't think of anything old that it might fit! I did try a few things as the mood took me. Ain't it amazing the pool of info on this site?

    Can I assume that they're quite common?

    I'm not a bayonet expert but if Turkeyicon only bought 100.000 G1's and afterwards they followed the Germans example and adopted the G3 as their official service rifle, there can't be that many of them out there.

    And those are the very G1s I saw over there in Turkishicon hands. They however, had not one spot of finish left remaining...
