Another area to check for accuracy is the fit of the gas cylinder. If it moves at all, accuracy is not going to be good (moving front sight). Peen the barrel splines, or use some blue loctite to tighten it up. There should be a credit card thickness of space between the back of the rear handguard and the receiver. The op-rod should not touch the stock. The trigger guard should lock up firmly and evenly, check the bosses on the receiver for roundness. You may need to shim the stock to get a firm lockup. Some modifications will not be legal for CMP as issued matches though (shims and loctite).
