    I thought he may have been referring to me changing the finish. The M2 cutout has a factory made look for sure.

    The stock looks like a field revision to accomodate the M2 parts kit, possibly done at Battalion level or similar. You can tell by the remains of the bridge left in place. The factory M2 stock never had the bridge. Good stock for a rebuild or this project.

    I heard that some of the late M1s had heavier stocks ? Then were converted to M2s? As far as what I'm putting together, it will obviously be a mix master as I'm actually trying to get as many of the different manufactures parts as I can.

    A couple patches on my handguard Attachment 39874 I can't believe my cell phone can do close ups ! LOL
