Is there any method to the madness of the combination of parts? Meaning, Rock-Ola receiver and barrel should have an Inland trigger housing with.....so on and so forth?

No, there was no method to it. All M1 Carbine parts were required to be standardized so they were all equal. Parts manufacturer was of no concern during repair or overhaul.
