1907 Quillion

No indication of any metal-work on the pommel. Really looks like a British Troop Trials 1906 Japanese pattern sword bayonet. There is very little research about these bayonets, but in looking at Skennerton, it's the closest thing I can find. Wish I could find out for sure!

No, the ring isn't altered. No, the pommel hasn't been "Grafted on"...look at the mortise slot and you can see damage. Better pics will show more. I think it just needs some TLC...and it will fit.

I might suggest putting it on Ebay, it will find it's true value there. Maybe not potential value but what it's going to actually sell for. Make sure you do good pics though.

It's fixed! I cleaned up the mortise slot and it now attaches perfectly. Thanks everyone for your help with this. I'm thrilled to have this issue solved.

Good to hear, looking at the pics on a bigger screen than an iphone can see now what BR had mentioned.
