Even worse in the mid '70's Pete, by that time I had upgraded to a Super 8 camera, took a run of film of the GOC in a brand new KIOWA getting too freindly with power lines, they confiscated my camera and film But they didn't know my driver had the same shots on his camera..........free beer for us when the fracas calmed down.......almost like blackmail

i dropped up to the local reserve barracks today to visit an old work colleague (hunter river lancers armidale nsw) and on the wall was an owen gun!

there was also a MG08/15 an F1 sub a .30 cal mg and quite a few rifles plus a cabinet of pistols. i didn't have a camera unfortunately. mind you the condition of them would make most cringe. you could tell most of it had been sitting in the back of an armory basically untouched for 70 - 100 years.
