    Hi Simon

I've got a chance of getting Enforcer No. 231. Any idea which police force it was with or any information you may have will be appreciated.

    Regards
    Mike

    Peter,

All the information and data I've seen indicates that the Enforcer WAS NOT issued with a bipod as original. I've seen numerous rifles with the later addition of a sling swivel stud to allow the use of a Harris type bipod but that's all.

As with all things Enfield though the Caveat is "Never say Never" perhaps others have more info?.

    Cheers,

    Simon.

Any comments on whether the bipod was an original fitting .303 collector?. Not a point to loose sleep about but I didn't think that a bipod was an original fitting either

Bipods are not mentioned in the original parts list or drawings, perhaps Parker Hale were asked to fit them at a later point.
Parker Hale were the importers of Harris bipods at the time of the Enforcers, (1973 onwards), they also suplied the Pecar scope, mounts and target sights to Enfield!

Enfield disputed with several Police forces the appearance of one or two bulges appearing in the chambers of Enforcers where the front mount screws weakened the chamber. Enfield blamed that on P-H or........ well, anyone else!
