Me again. Any idea regarding the history of Enforcer 071?

As for bipods, the RSAF Enforcer brochure does not show or mention a bipod, and I do not see any comments about bipods in the final specification (information taken from Mark Stevens website - http://www.amstevens.fsnet.co.uk/)

Rifle serial number 071 was despatched to "Scottish Police" on the 10th December 1974.

    Cheers,

    Simon.

There is no data recorded alongside serial number 722 so I'm going to hazard a guess that it is one of the rifles completed by Charnwood Ordnance.

Perhaps XL39E1 aka Colin can offer his take on it?

    Cheers,

    Simon.

    Bi-Pods

Sorry I seem to have confused matters when I said Enforcer 095 had its original bi-pod.
A friend purchased all Sussex Enforcers and Envoys in 1986 and I still have 1 Sussex Enforcer 232 and two Envoys E320 and E389. My friend was a Sussex Police sniper in the 1970's and 1980's and he says they are still as they were first issued to them. The Enforcer has a Parker Hale bi-pod with narrow rubber feet unlike the modern ones which have larger feet. When I got Enforcer 095 (Gwent Police) it had the same bi-pod as the Sussex Enforcer so I just assumed that they all came like that and was original.
Just to confuse matters even more the Sussex Envoy snipers were all fitted with bren gun
bi-pods. Both of mine still have them.
My friends rifle for 15 years was Envoy E320 and the Enforcer was used by his mate, both were kept at Bexhill Police Station.
Prior to the Envoys which were delivered before the Enforcers Sussex used Long Lee's with
    open sights.

Apparently, Charnwood have destroyed their records so difficult to trace unless it went through another dealer first! I have also read that other dealers had pickings from Enfield at the same time as Charnwood!

Thank you, Simon, that is what I expected to hear - I will pass on the bad news. Enforcer 071 appears to have the forend to enforcer 722 fitted, so who knows what is going on with it.
