    Hi,
Any info on a 308 Rifle bearing the serial number C-06571 ? Or a clue as to what model it may be?
    Thanks
    Roy

By serial number the rifle you're referring to will be a Youville castings 1200 type action with the m84/85/86 screwed on bolt release.

So a Mauser 98 commercial action with the Midland style bolt stop.

Basically a Midland with an M98 bolt instead of a 1903 bolt.

    Many thanks.

Having done some closer inspections, it is a Parker Hale Scout with some home modifications, in .308

Interesting I ran across that same rifle in my travels today- strange that PH seems to have used that serial number sequence with both the mauser style ejector block and the Midland style.

Hi Roy, no entry for C-06571 in the surviving factory records unfortunately mate.

    Parker Hale 00354F

    Hi Gil,

Can you please let me know if you have any information on PH M85 00354F? I have recently acquired 00225F and it came with a range test certificate dated 19/05/1989. There seems to be very little information on rifle number 00225F and I am hoping that maybe 00354F may shed some light on this. Maybe they went off to the same place and the test certificates got mixed up.

    Wait to hear.

    Many thanks

    Steve
