Which Glock?

One reason why I almost certainly cannot consider a G-21 is because whatever I choose must be something my wife can use. She is driving over 100 miles each day along a very isolated route that takes her to and from work. She leaves a little before 5 AM and returns home around 6 PM. She is not physically powerful. I would much prefer the G-22 as I think the .40 S&W provides good power, etc. We may end up buying the G-17 simply because that may be the best we can do for her. If that is the case, then I am really going to put some serious thought into what ammunition we use. And both of us are absolutely going to be shooting it enough that we have no doubts how to make it run if and when it is needed.
