    Inherited M1 Carbine

    Hello everyone!

I'm new to the site. I recently inherited a M1icon carbine and wanted to reach out to learn as much as possible about what I have. I'm not new to firearms, but I am entirely new to the M1 carbine. I have only scratched the surface of what to look for and I would very much appreciate you all lending your expertise to help me learn as much as possible about this rifle.

I see that the rifle is an Inland, serial no 3,001,927. I looked but was not able to identify any barrel stamps (better light and magnifying glass might help). The attached photos show other rifle stamps and views of the rifle. I'd appreciate any info/opinions you can provide! (let me know if you would like to see more/better photos of any part of the rifle).

    Thanks everyone!
