Not really the same Bob, we're talking factory ammo I think. I've never been able to live life thinking "Oh my God!"... but doesn't matter. He ain't going to shoot it. He'll end up with others for shooting anyway.

Many years ago our son was nipped by his pet mouse which subsequently died. We took the mouse to the county and asked that it be tested for rabies. They were reluctant, said there hadn't been a case of mouse rabies in 25 years. We insisted, because we did not want to read a headline "FIRST CASE OF MOUSE RABIES IN 25 YEARS!" There are some circumstances where you don't take any chance, no matter how remote the possibility. A squib round, even in factory ammo, can plug the barrel without your knowing it, then the next round can blow it. The tip of the firing pin can break off and stick in the bolt, slam fire the next round out of battery. Yes, extremely remote... but not impossible. Does he really want to take any risk with a $15,000 rifle just so he can say he shot it? Maybe it's worth it, but I personally would not.

Whats not to shoot? Looks like a solid piece, check headspace and load her up and take her for drive. Looks a lot better than some I have shot.
