Outstanding, one of the Quantico rifles! Tell us more.
Dave
But...I'll bet a clip of eight won't be noticed.
Regards, Jim
Were it mine I'd through caution to the wind and enjoy shooting it while I still could.
This was one of those things that I thought about forever but never really thought would come to fruition...There are not many opportunities to acquire something like this in life so I said what the h3!!. Auctioned off a few months ago and I just happened to win.. I really did not think I was in the mix as I knew what a few of these MC52s had gone for in the past few years. In any case, the rifle finally came to its new home and needless to say I am ecstatic. As far as shooting this weapon, its darn tempting. the scope dials are phenomenal and Optics are great. I would love to go out to the anniston games with it but.......![]()
Kip Feiler's old gun bought from Larry Smith at OGCA I believe. Lost track of it after Kip died. Glad to see it found a good home, major congrats!
Real men measure once and cut.
You know shooting this thing is like a crack pipe... You can't shoot it one time..once you hit it, you can't quit it. It's like buying your first rifle... Hooked for life. I suppose for now I will keep it as the queen bee in my hive. Just think when some lucky guy/girl has it 100 years from now and is contemplating the same question. I personally don't need to shoot it as I have plenty other nice weapons to shoot. By the way, since some folks on this thread knew the previous owners; do you know if they/ he/ she has shot it ?? I'm sure the guys at quantico didn't take it out for Sunday afternoon range day ...maybe they did, sure would be tempting. Thank you guys for the comments. Andy
In a 100 years they might know if its safe to shoot. I would shoot it if it were mine, it already has been but easy for me to say I didn't pay for it but I would have to know what it would do for it to mean anything. just sayin
If you are leaving it to a museum when you are gone, don't shoot it. If not, shoot it because the next guy will. ?
Just my opinion.
