Finnish MN
I'm trying to determine value on what I think is a Finn M24 that I got from an estate sale. Owner is dead and wife was unable to provide any details on it.
Here are some pictures and thanks for the help!

Subject to verification by those more expert than myself. Appears to be a Finnish (SA marks) M1891 Mosin Nagant CAI import. Nice markings and looks unmolested save the import marks. I do not see a lot of 1891 vs 91/30s which probably helps the value as well. Bore condition will affect value + or -. The best way to gage value is to visit Gunbroker.com and check prices. Nice old rifles and tend to shoot well. I'd keep it if I did not need the money.

Thanks for the info. I checked out GB found this auction below...I wonder how much the value is affected by the serial numbers being mismatched?

They all are mismatched as they were refurbished by The Finns from captured Russian MNs. The Finn rebuilds are concidered to be more refined rebuilds of the MN and thus command a premium over the Russian 91/30s you see about for $100-150 in crates at gunshows.

makes sense..when the Finns did the rebuilds, what was so much better?
