What you have is a typical rebuilt carbine. The recoil plate with the W was made by Winchester and the barrel was made by Inland. The serial number can tell us who the receiver was made by and when it was made. Look in the sling well of the stock for any markings.

I've seen imported junk M1 carbines time and time again at gunshows with a $500 price tag. Your carbine looks great. Depending on many factors such as MW, TE, shootability (does it shoot?), I'd venture a value from $600 to $800.

I agree with tmark...Value somewhere between $600 and $800.00 assuming good barrel etc.
