Current range of 03A3 prices in PNW
Long-time shooter/reloader here, wanting to begin shooting cast boolit military rifle matches 100-300 yards. I'm looking for a collectible shooter 03A3 and have scoured this and other forums over the last month. I know what to look for in Remington and Smith-Coronas and am trying to establish current pricing before heading to the shows. I know this is a tiresome and beat-to-death question and am asking only for a range.
Remington 4-groove - "As issued" and "very good" original conditions
Smith-Corona 6-groove - same
Smith-Corona 4-groove - same
Not interested in 2-groove bbls. I appreciate any and all replies, and thanks.

If you live within range of the WAC Puyallup show, it's worth a try (the "big" show is coming up in another week). The PNW shows seem to have "shooter" M1903s/1903A3s at a lower price than many other areas. I don't know if you can find a "shooter/collector", though.

I thought the 2-groovers performed better than 4-G with cast bullets?

I've read it the 2G and 4G are equal to 200 yds. After that the 4G have an edge. My club shoots 100, 200 and 300 yd aggregate matches. Heading to Puyallup and we will see...

Two months ago, I purchased a real nice Remington A3 with four groove barrel fresh from rebuild for $500. I thought that was an excellent buy.
