Maybe the M1936, but the pouch was earlier..The belt is late war, or post war, webbing in metal, color, and overall manufature, not like my 1942 belts, Im more interested in the pouch being 1945 anyway..

(I shoul not mess with a really senior member:-) According Larry L. Ruth's book "War Baby comes home" J.Q.M.D. was the only wartime manufacturer in 1945. There is an undated mag pouch in Ruth's book. The webbing looks original. Please look on the male part of the fastener, if it's a fastener from RAU or CARR. A lot of repros do not have original fasteners. I think you paid a very good price. It is hard to find such good stuff in Switzerland.

The web belt is WWII , it has brass eyelets and snaps. The pouch is probably late 50s ( I have a similar pouch ) they did modify the regular .30 carbine pouches with an extended flap during the Korean War I've seen examples. 30 round mags were rare even in the Korean War so the pouches had to be modified. Later on with the 1956 Web Gear they came out with the "Universal Magazine pouch" that held 4-30 rnd Carbine mags , 2- BAR mags or 4-20 rnd M-16 mags. So that mag pouch was made between Korea and Viet-Nam. I remember buying those pouches at the surplus stores for 2.00 . I bought one at Gun Show for 20.00 bucks only because I know the Collector.
