    30rd magazine carbine pouch

    Yes. I have seen many pics from the Korean war where they used them.

    Were these 30rd magazine pouches replaced during the 1950's ? or were they still in use in Viet Nam ?

    I had a 4 mag pouch in 1968, but I don't recall how it was marked.

    There was one contract, maybe two, during the Vietnam War for 30 round pouches. The modified US GI 15 round pouches came in from South Korea and I have never seen any in the US inventory.

    The first pouch was produced in 1945 with no maker markings.
