I visited the North Store yesterday and picked up a nice NPM. It came with a very clean, unblemished Underwood WWII stock. I know that the GHD stands for Brig. General Guy H. Drewry and the UEP for Underwood Elliott Fisher. Within the sling well on the left side the letters "PU" are stamped into the wood. Does this indicate the subcontractor and if so who made the stock?

Thanks in advance.
