I had a great opportunity to acquire a SC 1903 A3, barreled 10/43 with a SN 4804757. The stock and all parts appear original and the bolt/receiver parkerized at Ogden Arsenal post WW2. My question surrounds the bolt. Although the coloring looks consistent with the post war modifications, the bolt handle is straight and unmarked (but for a dot underneath) the cocking piece seems older than later war and the only mark is a Remington "R" on the bolt sleeve. 2 questions: Could this be original and switched at the arsenal and is it safe to shoot with this bolt?

Thanks.
