Can this be the correct Bolt ???

My 1903 is a SA #1137597. it has a J5 bolt but it does have a straight handle. I have read that J5 bolts were made with straight and curved bolt handles.
Would my rifle be considered correct being above 1,000,000 with a J5 bolt and a straight handle???
Did straight handle bolts continue being used until supplies were exhausted???

Your rifle should correctly have a curved handle bolt marked "J 5" beneath the safety lug. The likelihood that a straight handle bolt was originally fitted to your rifle is extremely small. But, I cannot rule out the possibility.

    Hope this helps.

If your rifle is not a Mark I rifle, you might be surprised to learn what you have!

OK, I'm guessing. Possible Philippine constabulary rifle?

You spill your beans too, Rick!
