    Thompson Center rifles

TC does have a recall for it's ICON, Dimension, and Venture rifles. On some rifles, when the bolt is closed, the safety will come off.

They have a list of serial numbers but I can not down load them as it requires a certain type of software. Not PDF

We have two and my son sent his in for the recall and it came back quickly and fixed. It was a .270 Venture however my .223 Venture needs to go back as the trigger is not adjustable from new and probably will need a new trigger group which should solve any problems.

TC was very good to deal with and it went to a repair centre on Vancouver Island BC.

    Great rifles for the price.
Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?

My son rec'd a message from Cabellas as that is where he bought it. We still had the Long Gun registry at that time and they would have a record that he bought it.

I think it was in the first "range" of guns as my son has a very low serial number. I have never checked out to see if my .223 is in the recall but since the trigger adjustment screw is SOLID I called and they left a message to send it in. To be honest I just haven't bothered to but should do it soon...LOL

The recall is about two years old IIRC.

Recalls are becoming pretty common these days. You'd probably be surprised how many guns have them. Even Glock had one,, only they called it an "exchange program."

I like Thompson Center. Have a Venture in .300 Win Mag. Well, my son is "borrowing" it,,, and we all know how that goes.

Mine is an early one with a four digit serial number. In .308 which they quit making. My other one is a 22/250. What a chuck gun! Bowled one over at 500 plus yards. Not a whimper.

TC looks great and shoots great!

The TC .22-250 is great. I took a mouflon ram with one. Had a heck of a time climbing to get it.

Post 5. I am more than aware of how that goes. My suggestion is that if you really liked it save up and get yourself one because that one is gone,. llolol

I have been loking around for another one. Scarce as hen's teeth. May order one through my firearms guy.

I hope they are not going the way of the TC side locks!
