    LOVE HURTS

    SO I GOT A HICKEY FROM MY THOMPSON??? Showing a family member how fast the fifty rd drum could be emptied and i turned around to talk to him and i put my foot up on my chair sat the but of the rifle on my knee and turned to talk to him and branded my neck with the barrel.... owwww it smarts. Now i`m a branded man. l Love that rifle just not going to hug it any more.

    I didn't do that with Thompson as mine had the regular barrel length but I did with an FNC1 once many long years ago. Went through an ambush drill and while carrying hands full of stuff after I had the rifle slung. Set something down and the butt rested on the ground so the barrel touched my neck...so I know how it feels...

    Managed something similar with a very hot M60 once upon a time. Went to pick it up after a demo fire and my hand slid in the sweat on the handguard. I heard the sizzle from my thumb before I felt it!
