My first post and newest purchase,,,
Hello,,,
I am aarondhgraham
This is my latest purchase,,,
I picked her up just this last Monday.
WZ-48 Polish Trainer.
I saw a fellow member of my rifle & Pistol club shooting one,,,
I fell in love with the sleek lines of this Polish lovely.
More importantly I was impressed by the small groups he was producing.
So I went on a mission and found this one,,,
Her serial numbers did not match but I really don't care,,,
She was not beat-up at all and honestly looked to be in unfired condition.
I know she had to have been fired somewhere in her past,,,
But there is no visible wear on her mechanics.
Her markings date her at 1950,,,
That's just one year older than I am.
I gave $230.00 for her out the door.
I made a mad dash trip to the range,,,
Here are two 3-shot groups and one two shot group.
I shot these off of a range bag at 25 yards using Federal bulk ammo.
I named her Krystyna.

The addictive properties are strong.
.22 trainers can be very addictive
I am definitely afraid of that aspect,,,
Fortunately I'm not a rich man,,,
But I can drool a lot.
I have a passion for owning pairs of handguns,,,
One chambered for .22 rimfire and the other for centerfire.
I've managed to amass 11 pairs of handguns for my collection.
So you know where this is leading me now,,,
I'll be wanting a Polish M44 to go with my Krystyna.
I also have a K-98 Mauser that my grandfather gave me when I turned 12,,,
He told me it was brought back from Europe by my great uncle Banty.
I think it's a K98 model,,,
That's what I was told when I received it.
Now that I am aware of this forum,,,
I'll take some good pictures and ask for verification on it's model.
So this will probably cost me a ton of money as well,,,
I would love to own a DSM 34 or a KKW to pair up with it.
The Wanenmacher's gun show is 3 weeks away in Tulsa,,,
Maybe I'll get lucky and find one of those rifles that I can afford
Then I'll be done.

I managed to acquire a WZ-48 that appears to be the twin to yours. A nice trainer still at affordable prices. Congratulations on your purchase.

Good for you my friend,,,
I hope yours shoots as well as mine.
I've been doing some more reading about these little rifles,,,
It's amazing the labor they put into guns back then.
If it were manufactured today to the same quality,,,
I expect it would cost upwards of 6 or 7 hundred dollars,,,
My not-so-humble opinion is it would be in the Cooper or Anschutz class.
Take your girl to the range,,,
Let us know how she performs for you.

These things are great! I've had one for awhile, they are great to shoot. People always try to figure out what they are too whenever I take them to a range. Good to see more out there.
