I recently received a 98 Mauser possibly a Brazilianicon 1908 converted to a short rifle similar to the 1908/34.
It is 7mm, the bands, bayonet lug, nose cap, and butt plate are the same as a 1908.
Why would the receiver markings be scrubbed off a 1908 rifle.
Did the Brazilians sell guns to another country and scrub all Brazilian markings that identified the country or origin?
If they did who would have bought them?
