Spanish American War period M1874 mess kit marked "US" across the end of the handle and "R.I.A." lengthwise on the right handle flat. This mess kit is made of tin plated steel.

M1900 also of tin plated steel and marked "U.S. R.I.A. 1903".

M1900 made entirely of aluminum and marked "U.S. R.I.A. 1905".

M1910 made of aluminum with iron handle and marked "U.S. R.I.A. 1910".

M1910 made of aluminum with iron handle and marked "U.S. R.I.A. 1913".

M1910 made of aluminum with iron handle and marked "U.S. R.I.A. 1917" in unissued condition.

M1942 made of tin plated steel w/ steel handle spot welded to the pan. It is marked "U.S. FOLEY MFG. CO. 1943".

M1942 made of zinc plated steel with steel handle riveted to the pan and marked "U.S. LEYSE 1942".

M1942 made of corrosion resistant metal with riveted handle and marked "U.S. MASSILLON CO. 1945".
