Question NO.4MK.1 Long Branch Lower Band

    Hi:
I am looking for a 1st. variation lower band for a Long Branch No.4 Mk.1 Lee Enfield.
It has to be LB stamped and not C broad arrow.
Can anyone help me as to where to get one?
    Thanks
    Phil.

I have a few LB parts, mostly new, but I have no idea what a 'first variation' band might be. I guess I'm more of a generalist. Can you specify?

    lower band ID

Thanks for looking. A 1st variation lower band is early production ( 1941-43 ).
It is milled and NOT stamped from sheet steel. They have a sort of rounded look to them.
The stamped ones are just square and straight. That`s the best i can describe them.
The 1st variation would be marked with the LB stamp. The later ones have the C with broad arrow inside. I hope this explains it a little better. Thanks
    Phil.

I got mine from Phil Rose in the UKicon - he even managed to dig out a hinged LB upper band for me, and they are quite rare. Someone here might know his email.
