    M1 Loose Lower Band

Recently-arrived SG. Overall good shape, but the lower band had taken a beating by those Greek armorers. Came with a solid pin, which I replaced with a new roll pin. But the band still moves. Main reason I think is because the pin hole in the band has been stretched out some. Ideas? Any chance CMPicon will cover me with a replacement band?

The pin (roll or solid) is not what keeps the middle band tight on the barrel. It is the fit between the band and the barrel. A good one will need to be "tapped" on with a small hammer. Some folks knurled the barrel and really gets a tight fit. If I were the CMPicon, I would tell you to buy another one at a gunshow for $10. Try DuPage Trading.
