1943 Albion No.2 Mk.1** - old warhorse in surprisingly good condition

Got a matching 1943 Albion No.2 Mk.1** delivered to my door yesterday (the joy of having a C&R license). The bore looks mint, and there is only a small amount of holster wear.

Of course, I can't get ammo or the parts for reloading, but apart from that I am happy

I am also picking up a 1942 Enfield No.2 Mk.1** on Friday for $200. I will post pics when I get it.

Why can't you get the reloading supplies ? Just the O'bama thing going on now or other things ?
I reload the .38/200 for my victories with lead 200 gr .358 bullets , but .360 bullets for English bores are offered , too.
Standard .38 S&W dies / shellholder and Win. 231 powder .

These seem to work OK. Old thread about it. Probably a couple of years back. Not sure which Milsurp forum.

We used to find some real dogs amongs the old Albions. Mind you, some of the Enfields weren't up to much either! But that having been said, one they were set up, timed properly and running/pokering, they were generally as good as gold
