I broke my 1903 turkish Mauser firing pin
I'm trying to find a replacement for the firing pin I broke. I read where some of the firing pins are interchangeable. I was wondering if I could get a newer firing pin to replace the one I broke. And which firing pins are interchangeable with the 1903 Turkish.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you manage to break it? Additionally, if your 1903 Turk has an 1893 bolt, then you should be able to get a firing pin off of any other 1893 of similar caliber; remember that man were converted from rifles originally in 7.65mm. Numrich should had the firing pins

Hi labrat,
I recently had a Gew98 firing pin re-tipped by Don Schlickman who offers this service. If your firing pin is numbered to the rifle you might want to consider it. You can contact him through the Japanese forum on "Gunboards".

The early M1903 Turks were short model Mausers. You must be specific if you mail order a new part.

When I was disassembling the bolt and slipped. This is my 1903/38 Bubba'd Mauser. I was wondering if I could use a GEW98 or a K98 firing pin or M24/47 Mauser firing pin

looks like a large ring and to be safe, I would go with either a Gew98 or maybe a kar98 but I would probably lean to gew98

Large ring Mauser, for sure. But a short-action Mauser, as well. Must buy a short Mauser firing pin. Standard length Mauser 98 firing pin is too long.
