03A3 Follower Problem
I purchased an 03A3 and had feeding problems. Upon inspection I discovered it had an M1917 follower and spring in it. Score for me because now I have an extra folloer for my M1917, but that is not the problem. I ordered a new 03A3 follower and spring. After assembly the rifle still does not function correctly. The right side of the follower continually wants to come up out of the mag well. I have check the position of the spring and re-assembled many times with the same result. Can anyone suggest a fix. If I new to get other parts tha's O.K., but I need some help. I have been working on these rifles for years, but this one has me stumped. I guess I have been travelling too much. All help is appreciated.
Best regards,
Sights

more info is needed,, has the rifle been modified for a magnum round??having the rails polished or opened will effect that.
were did you get the replacement parts from???thats a big deal now adays with all the repro crap abound.
the A3 was made so that the follower and spring could be removed via the top of the loading gate.
though personally i have never tried it..
a heavy magazine spring will make it {pop} up as well, try another follower and spring.
make sure the spring stop is still on the bottom of the follower, and that the spring isnt pushed beyond that point.
also,,,does the rifle still have the stamped trigger guard?? mixing milled and stamped parts will also give you fits,
is it a correct or original bolt? or has it been messed with???
