Enfield reciever markings, what should they tell me

No.4Mk1(F) FTR. This is on a 1944 dated BSA. What does the (F) mean and where will the date it was FTR'd be located?

Means it was done at ROF Fazakerly. If the date is not explicitly marked, (and not all are) then barrel date might be a clue (if it was rebarreled, and not all were).
