    Inld. type 2 stock marking ???

    Hi
    Could use some help. I have a type 2 Inld. stock. There is some letters on the right side of the stock that I have never seen on a M1icon carbine stock. MRT Would any one know what that is for. Thanks for any help.

    Well MR would be a Mount Rainier Ord. arsenal rebuild, not sue about the extra T

    I think I seen MRT on Garandicon stocks ????. I know I seen it some place.

    On web gear I think it means 'Mold Resistant Treatment' but I haven't seen it on stocks. I guess the most likely thing is Mt. Rainier Arsenal, but I can't see the letters well enough to confirm anything but the 'R'.

    you lucked out, stock went thru a rebuild but the hw was not cut down.
