A 50's a 38 spl chief target. The 17's a K frame in .22. Do you mean the Model of 1950? It's an N frame. I don't think so. The L frame bbl will fit a K frame but not a J and I'm sure not an N. Besides you would have to change the firing pin bushing and all. Not that easy.

Did you mean a Model of 1917 Revolver or Model 17? A lot of difference there. The S&W Model 22 was the civilian version of the Model of 1917 Revolver, and there was also a S&W Model 1950 Target in .45 ACP.

Model 50 would have the straight extractor rod. M1917 had a knob which requires a relief cut on the barrel just to the rear of the front lug. Not sure about the cylinder length- I think they're about the same but the later one might be longer- in which case the barrels could not interchange.
Model 50 barrel is probably much rarer than the M1917 anyway!
ETA: Correct designation should read Model 1950, NOT 50 as Johnny Peppers notes below.

The ad states Model 1950. A Model 50 barrel is 2" in .38 S&W Special. The Model 1950 came in two versions; the standard and the 1950 Target. The Model 1950 Target has a shroud for the ejector rod while the Model 1950 doesn't, but the Model 1950 is not milled out for the larger ejector rod head of the Model of 1917.

Dang, for $99, buy it, even if you don't need it- IF it's in good shape! Or maybe I ought to jump on it...
