Need held with leather sling
I have a really nice condition almost black in color, leather sling. It is stamped as follows:
G H WOOD
WALSALL 194
It looks like it could be 1941 but can not quite read it - anyone have any information concerning the time period of manufacture ? Thanks RCS

Large quantities of these were procured, mostly for the Home Guard, around this time and much of it was done by the leather industry in Walsall (big at that time).
