    Where to find the Production Date for an Brasilian M 1908?

    Hi to all,

    is there anywhere a source where i can find the production date of an Brazilianicon Mauser M1908. If i am not blind i cant find it on the rifle. Only the SN# is there : 6793.
    Any help is appreciated.

    Have you reviewed the Brazilian Model 1908 Mauser Rifle (Mfg DWM) (click here), in the South America - Milsurp Knowledge Library (click here)

    I'm not sure if there's more definitive information as to breaking down the date of manufacture by serial number.

    Was your Mauser made by DWM (Berlin) or Mauser (Oberndorf)?

    Like I told Gunner, I don't have a book or a list for serial numbers. I just happened to have a Mauser with a serial # close to his. ( the date is on the test target).

    I would guess that yours was made in 1908 (calculated guess).
