    AA Adaptor For German Tripod

I hope its not heresy, but strictly for comfort I made an adapter to allow stand up shooting.
The tripod is the Germanicon AA type that is still pretty inexpensive.

Theres nothing wrong with that, I think the Germans themselves made an adapter for that tripod. I'm sure there is a photo somewhere showing a captured Bren Mk1 on that tripod being used by 2nd line troops in Franceicon

I can't comment on the originality or if it was even originally for a Bren but have a look at this one.

Nice find! I don't know if it fits the MG42 AA mounts that are common or if it fits a Bren. Have to ship it in from Europe. Interesting

This Mount was originaly for the Germanicon MG13. They are Ex Portuguese Wartime Manufacture. The top original section is missing, & has been modified to take a Bren, as stated in the listing Discription. It would take the original MG13 (Obviously!) & the MG34. NOTHING else. I doubt it would fit the Postwar MG3 AA Mount pictured on the start of this thread though. If you have one of the Bundy AA Tipods. It would be VERY easy to make an adaptor to fit a Bren. The original thread start Photo shows an 'Adaptor' block that is HOME MADE. It appears to be a VERY crude item......But It would do the job if you needed one.

Tankhunter. I have a Drafuss AA mount for my M53. If you need to take measurements. I am in Romford. My M53 fits a H&K 1977 MG3 Lafette tripod.

Hello Lester, Errr, Very nice of you. But Why would I, need those measurements? I don't recall requesting anything like this? As an aside, I also have one of those Ex Bundy Tripods myself.
    But thanks for the Offer!.......
