A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. John,

Shouldn't the caveat be added "as long as the rear sight has been removed"? Otherwise, some serious inletting must be done.

to drop an 03 into a standard in military trim. sight base, ect. inletting will be needed,
a sporterized 03 with no rear sight base, will drop right in a stock cut for the A3.
the A3 has a larger recoil lug, but the 03 will fit.,loose, but it will drop in.

    I stand corrected!

I assumed his sporter stock was equivalent to a military rifle stock. Obviously it's not.

Thanks for pointing out my error.
