    non functional 03A4 scope

Hi everybody. I have a friend with a nonfunctional scope that is one of the types that mounted to an 03A4 sniper rifle. I dont know what model exactly. We are looking for some way to get it working again, it wont take any adjustments and just puts rounds a yard over the target at 100 yards. Who can get this scope shooting straight? Thanks!

Depending on the exact model, it does indeed have adjustments. There is one screw you DO NOT want to turn. Post the markings on the scope, and I can tell you more.

You say it won't take adjustments, exactly what do you mean? Do the turrets turn? Can you adjust parallex? Does the POI move when the turrets are turned? What rifle is this scope mounted on? Is the base shimmed? What rings and bases is it mounted in now?

    Is it a 330, a 330C, a M73B1, or an M8?

It can be repaired, but be prepared for a long wait and a large expense (several hundred dollars).

    Jim

Be prepared to wait though. His turnaround is six+ months.

thats the norm with scope repair.
just avoid Osborne Optical repair,,steels your scopes..never repairs them.

Thanks for the info. Its good to know that its at least repairable. It was very frustrating to realize at the bench that a malfunction was underway.
