    Enfield Pics (BLO and Raw)

Finally got Pics so thought would put them back up plus an example of boiled and raw Linseed (thanks for all who helped) SMLE is Boiled , No4 is raw it has 2 coats over 4 years i have never done anything to the wood work.
First is a SMLE No1 Mk111* no date but made by BSA Co stamped on right but socket issued to South African Police, see but disc and sling pics.

Second its not the real thing its a 1943 No4 Mk1 i put the scope and mounts on plus the cheek piece, you will notice that the battle sight and ejector screw are missing this is because i use this with a parker hale peep sight also the rear pad is not attached to reciever so the PH sight goes on no trouble the screws at the front of the mount are not as yet finished.
It was not my intention to build a fake what i did do was build a resonable priced repro for myself, as regarding fakes the amount of junk i have seen people trying to pass off is unbelievable, was not impressed at what i saw at the phoenix the other week.

    Nice pair

Your No4: quick question, was the forend original to the receiver? Seems to be a gap between the rear face of the forend and the butt socket,
