    M1 Bayonet

I'm trying to buy a M1icon bayonet that has original finish, not a reweld, not a repro, etc. Does anybody have some advice on what to look for? How can you tell if it's original finish? I've seen several on ebay/gunbroker that have varying colors from light to dark for the same manufacturer. How about a repro? Thanks in advance...
