Hello,
Just got back from the Crossroads of the West gun show in Reno, didn't see that many L.E.s, but there was a No.7 with chest (can't remember the price) and a target L.E. N0.4 Mk1* Longbranch 1943 (I think) with a Parker Hale sight going for $2600 (slightly out of my price range). I did see a nice No.4 Mk.1 that had undergone FTR in 1949 (wasn't upgraded to mk.1/2 - is that common, seeming that the Mk.s 2, 1/2 and 1/3 were introduced in 1949?), and it had an S&K mount with a decent 4-10X40 scope for $250. I'm thinking of buying the rifle, nabbing the scope and mount for my Longbranch, slapping on a Mk.I rearsight and selling the rifle on. Bad idea or good idea?Information
