Can anyone give me some shots of the mount and how it attaches to the SMLE? Many thanks

There is a portion of the original drawing shown in Skennertonicon's "The Britishicon Sniper". The mating surface of the base is concave if I remember the drawing correctly, though there may have been a change to two flats, as I see the reproduction mounts offered on eBay at the moment have such flats rather than a concave 'shoulder'.

    Periscopic Prism Scope

There's actually a picture of a machined receiver and copy base on this site:

With thanks to member Valleysniper, there's an excellent article in the Technical Articles for Milsurp Collectors and Re-loaders (click here).

WW1 Periscopic Prism Co Ltd London Telescopic Sight Strip Down

This interesting article is accompanied by a very nice photo montage, detailing the complete "strip down" of a WW1 Periscopic Prism Co Ltd London Telescopic Sight.

There's also several MKLicon (Milsurp Knowldege Library) entries in the England - Milsurp Knowledge Library (click here), accompanied by hundreds of pics and closeups of mounts and scopes in the various photo montages, that I'm sure will give you want you want.
