Bolt locked up

I have a 1917 Eddystone. Several years ago I replaced the bolt with a Winchester bolt. To make a long story short, it's locked in place. Pulling up on the bolt handle it won't budge. Took of the trigger housing, still locked. What's the problem and can it be fixed?
P.S. Been sitting there like this for 4 years.

put the trigger back in, push the safety foward all the way...
tap the under side with a plastic mallet. it will come up...id bet your bolt has been modified for a cock on opening...when you get the bolt out.
remove the cocking assembly, and send me a picture of the small notch were the sear engages.

I'm betting with chuckindenver that the bolt has been modified for cock-on-opening. The top side of the sear nose may not be clearing the bottom of the cock-on-opening cocking piece lug after the trigger was pulled, thus leaving the safety stud on the sear still engaged in the interlock slot on the bolt.

Numrich's Speed Lock cock-on-opening kit comes with these instructions: "If after installing the bolt and pulling the trigger you are unable to open the bolt, you will need a modified sear, which we will supply free of charge..."
Their modified sear is a standard sear with a shortened safety stud.

If you pulled the action out of the stock and then removed the trigger and sear there wouldn't be anything left that would inhibit raising the bolt handle.

Either that or your bolt is hopelessly rusted in place. (Just kidding!)

My comment may possibly be a hindrance or distraction to this thread and Leagleagle's rifle issue but I'll slug forward anyway. Hopefully it is helpful.
I have a somewhat similar story with My Remington Model 1917...but then again, maybe not.
Cosmetically the rifle looks good just sitting there and it functions fine while dry firing.
However once I load a round and fire, the bolt will not open unless I use a rubber mallet and pop it open with some force. Thinking it was the bolt, I exchanged the bolt from my Winchester, fired and had the same problem! I had to use the rubber mallet again! Either bolt works fine in my Winchester.
Is this a similar problem as leagleagle has or does it point to a different problem?

The original bolt worked fine. The extractor broke on it and being lazy,(not to mention all thumbs), I got another bolt and that's the one that's giving me problems.
