    Bavarin carbine value

a friend has a interest in my Bavarian Forestry Police carbine and he wants to know what I would take for it. It is a early inland all original, high wood stock, dogleg hammer , correct rear sight, it has the Bavarian reblue. The problem is I have no idea what to tell him any ideas what a fair price would be for both of us. I was thinking maybe 800

Rice, to get an idea, you may want to go to some of the auction sites (GB, GA, etc) to see what the going price is. Remember to check SELLING prices of past auctions, not asking prices.

I think that the value really depends on actual condition and originality of parts. If you post some pics, some of the experts here (not me) may be able to give you a good opinion. In my opinion, if it ALL original and a Service Grade , $800 may be a bit low. If its a Rack Grade, $800 may be right - if its original.
